FAQs

What instrument will I be playing?

We have a beautiful Bechstein C234 grand piano for our pianists to play supplied by Bechstein Manchester. It is the same piano that will be used in our evening recitals so an opportunity to play a fantastic instrument with impressive power, transparent sound and wonderful touch - a real treat for both our performers and audience.

What music should I play?

All styles and genres of piano music are welcome - whether you like to play classical, pop, jazz, improvise or compose your own music. As a rough guide for early stage pianists we ask that performance pieces are under two minutes, for more advanced pianists, please stick to approximately 5 minutes or under. This will enable us to offer a more varied and balanced program and allow more pianists the opportunity to perform.
